We have a simple philosophy:

  Opening Times:
  Lunch - Wednesday to Saturday 12pm to 2pm (last orders)
  Dinner - Tuesday to Saturday 6.30pm to 9.30pm (last orders)
  Sunday Lunch - 12pm to 2.30pm (last orders)
• locally sourced produce
• high quality meats and fish
• enticing vegetarian options
• delicious home-made desserts and an extensive cheeseboard

Add to this an interesting and well thought out wine list with friendly service and you have a dining experience to remember.

Head Chef and joint proprietor Scott Ludlow is keen to impress and happy to accomodate dietary requirements be it Coeliac, Veggie or Dairy-free.

"We prepare and serve classic British cuisine with a Continental influence and modern twist as well as top-quality steaks cooked on our chargrill. Maybe you will try our 4 hour slow cooked belly pork or fresh fish delivered from the fish market in Devon?"

The Purple Goose offers relaxed but focused service.

That waitress who doesn't know what the "Soup of the Day" is? The one who forgets to mention the daily specials?
